Prosecutor's Office
The Tipton County Prosecutor’s Office represents the State of Indiana in all felony and misdemeanor criminal prosecutions resulting from crimes committed within Tipton County. The primary function of the office is reviewing all case files submitted to the office by law enforcement and deciding whether criminal charges should be filed, and then prosecuting those cases.
Other responsibilities of the Prosecutor’s Office include:
- Overseeing The Indiana Child Support Program (Establishing Paternity; Establishing And Enforcing Support Orders)
- Prosecuting Traffic Citations/Tickets
- Bad Check Program
- Supervising Grand Jury Proceedings
- Diversion/Deferral Program
